Hawarden Park Cricket Club was founded in 1866 and plays against the back drop of Hawarden Castle, the home of Sir William Gladstone. In 2005 it was voted by Wisden as one of the 12 lovliest grounds in the country, and appeared in their calender.
Hawarden Park is an ambitious club with two senior teams playing on a Saturday, a third team playing in a Sunday League, a midweek 20/20 team, three junior teams at varying age levels and the only ladies team in North Wales. Cricketers of all ages are welcome to join the club.
